Learn the art of traditional Ainu Healing techniques of Hokkaido Japan and to become a mediator between the world of spirit and human.
The job of a shaman is to build a relationship with Kamui (spirit) to learn to be a guide to help others.
This is a one to one teaching only.

DATE: for levels I, II and III. AUGUST 3 AND 4 2024
TIME: Start 10 am to 4 pm , you may arrive the early evening before to settle in if you plan on staying on site.

WHAT TO BRING: a drum (if you do not have one, I have a helper drums to loan.
- Eye covering ( we will also make one, so bring a cloth to cover, measure the distance from ear to ear, and forhead to chin and enough for a tie)
- Water bottle, non heatable sack lunch. Lunch time permitted to travel to the towns deli’s 3 miles away. A few places to eat for dinner nearby, chinese, pizza, sandwich place, DQ, its 20 miles to Eugene for more options.
- Proper clothing and comfortable footwear to walk the land. Boots are a good thing. All shamans need boots.
- Oregon is chilly at night if you plan on camping or staying in the humble cabin is 8×10 with single futon mattress. Full bathroom is 30 ft away, so if you are a night time toilet visitor fyi it is pitch dark, so bring a flash light.
- Bring sleeping bag, pillow and towels. Toiletries provided. otherwise a airbnb or hotel may be nearby if you choose to be more comfortable with wifi.
WHAT NOT TO BRING: your pet, kid/s, spouse.
- Mind altering substance, alcohol, vape, cannibis, cigarettes. Not even in your car.
- Gluten foods/snacks. (you can eat in your cabin but pls no gluten products, Im highly allergic, i have to clean up after you leave). You can eat them in your car, if you must.
- Laptop, ( no verizon or ATnT signal here).
- Weapons.
- Parfume/cologne. Essential oils are ok.
LEVEL ONE:
*You will learn the history of the Ainu folks. From different regions and prefectures.
*Different Ainu Gods, their purpose and how to make offerings to them.
*Basic skill to connect and consult with your ancestral guides. Not all ancestors are benevolent.
*Learn about the different tools shaman use for different purposes.
*Learn about the shamans armor and the importance of it.
*Grounding techniques.
LEVEL TWO
*How to enter a trance.
*How to protect yourself on your journey.
*Travel to the upper world where the ancestors await you.
Practice time.
LEVEL THREE
*Connect with your medicine plant spirit.
*Connecting with your spirit animal. In the Ainu tradition, they are passed down from generations to those who worship animal spirits from mother to daughter or from teacher to student.
*Learn Ceremony and offerings. Bear ceremony, Full moon ceremony, Mugwort ceremony and we’ll make plant spirit water.
